Little Italy

Gaslamp Quarter 

The Gaslamp Quarter is a lively downtown neighborhood, known for its nightlife. Clubs, dive bars and cocktail lounges draw a young crowd, while the Spreckels and Balboa theaters have diverse programs of music, comedy and drama. There's a mix of chain and independent restaurants in the area, with many global options. Horton Plaza Park has grassy lawns, ice cream and coffee vendors, and an interactive fountain.

Waterfront

"The Wonderfront Embarcadero Experience is one of a kind. Wake up to waterfront views, start your morning off with coffee and a stroll along the water, hop from one activity to another throughout the day without ever having to hop in a car!" (link below). The Marina district stretches between the San Diego Bay, Horton Plaza and downtown’s office tower buildings. Its ample recreation areas and open outdoor space including Pantoja Park, Children’s Museum Park, Martin Luther King Jr. Promenade and Seaport Village make this part of downtown truly unique. The San Diego Convention Center is located along the waterfront walkway as well, and brings in visitors from across the country (and around the world) with various events throughout the year.
